Heat and cold waves are just dreadful. Droughts are awful and my worst nightmare.

I agree, they are. Thankfully we are having sporadic rains. Droughts are certainly the most awful.

We had some rain in South Africa last summer. Zimbabwe and Zambia have an official drought. I hope for rain going forward. Our rainy season starts at the end of October. I’m glad you are getting some at least.

HI Merril, yes, the world is quite strange although drought are not unusual here in southern Africa. The temperatures are definitely creeping up.

HI Audrey, it’s funny because I think of your part of the world as being very cold but your summers are hot and dry.

HI Chris, I lived in Cape Town for a few years so I know the weather. I don’t love cold and wet, but rain is necessary. It has been very cold here too for the past week or so.
