Hi Wayne, I really hope so. I hate dryness and droughts. So bad for all the flora and fauna.

Congratulations, Robbie. What a compelling write. We experienced a terrible heatwave this year.

Heat and cold waves are just dreadful. Droughts are awful and my worst nightmare.

I agree, they are. Thankfully we are having sporadic rains. Droughts are certainly the most awful.

We had some rain in South Africa last summer. Zimbabwe and Zambia have an official drought. I hope for rain going forward. Our rainy season starts at the end of October. I’m glad you are getting some at least.

HI Merril, yes, the world is quite strange although drought are not unusual here in southern Africa. The temperatures are definitely creeping up.

I can certainly relate to your poem, Robbie, as we hit 31C today, and there has been no rain for about a month.

HI Audrey, it’s funny because I think of your part of the world as being very cold but your summers are hot and dry.

Congratulations, Robbie!! and really well done.
I know it’s very hot and dry in many, many places, and worrying too. However, it’s cold, and wet, and very, very windy here in the Western Cape.🥶

HI Chris, I lived in Cape Town for a few years so I know the weather. I don’t love cold and wet, but rain is necessary. It has been very cold here too for the past week or so.

Congratulations, Robbie! It sounds very apocalyptic, even worse than where I live. We’re getting smoke from the California wildfires and seeing no signs of our usual monsoon weather. Take care!
