Thursday Doors is a weekly feature allowing door lovers to come together to admire and share their favorite door photos from around the world. Feel free to join in on the fun by creating your own Thursday Doors post each week and then sharing your link in the comments below, anytime between 12:01 am Thursday morning and Saturday noon (North American eastern time).
Dan has featured gingerbread houses for Thursday’s doors this week so I thought I would follow in his footsteps and share pictures of some of my gingerbread, cake and chocolate houses.
You can see Dan’s gingerbread house display here: https://nofacilities.com/2020/12/10/christmas-doors-thursday-doors/

I Love these, Robbie. I love your use of pretzels. Chocolate and pretzels go so well together, it’s a good thing I wasn’t in your kitchen. I would have been raiding your building material stash. I think the house with the swirled sprinkle (I call them Jimmies, but in New England they are often called shots) roof is amazing looking. Iam so hungry for something sweet right now.
I hope you have a great weekend.

Hi Pete, I have a lot of interests and hobbies. My Christmas holiday is starting to look like a full time job with all the baking and writing.

These are all so amazing Robbie. I think I love the gingerbread castle the best.

HI Carla, Thank you, that gingerbread castle was a real challenge to assemble. I had to use my Dad’s spirit level.

Ha ha! I thought of you when I saw Dan’s gingerbread houses.
That castle must be my favorite and then the wizard hat 🙂
I noticed that you removed the Liquorice layer from the ‘Allsorts’. Good job. 😉
Have a merry week further!

HI Patricia, thank you for visiting and commenting. I make them thinner by removing the liquorice layer [and I don’t like liquorice – hehe].

I don’t like it either! 🙂

Thank you, Jessica, yes, they are all mine. I give them away as Christmas presents. Much for fun for me than shopping [something I hate doing].

Yes, I hate shopping too. And how lovely to be on the receiving end of one of those houses!

I would have to refrain from pulling off pieces of wall and eating them, though. I wouldn’t want to bring Sir Chocolate’s house tumbling down.

Thank you, Jan. Sometimes I create a door and sometimes I use the gingerbread and cut out a door.

Thank you, H. It was very difficult to make. I had to use my dad’s spirit level to get it all lined up.
