Thank you to blogger, John Rieber, for this splendid post about our recent culinary collaboration. It was a lot of fun to create a local fish dish while John did the same. His dish was a very exotic Lobster Newberg. John has also shared a bit about my books for which I am very grateful. His amazing support is appreciated.
If you don’t know John, do go over and have a look around his blog. He writes about all sorts of interesting things like events in NYC, his travels, and his adventurous cooking experiments.
It was fun to do, so thank you Robbie!

I’m trying to leave a comment on John’s post, but WP is being difficult.

Oh dear, I’ve read a few similar complaints generally in Blogland recently. I think you would like John. He stands for the same political ideology that you do.

The cookbook two-monthly reviews is back this month. Are you going to participate?

Thanks, Robbie – I’m not currently writing the cookbook reviews for that linkup. But I do greatly enjoy following them!

On my way to see about getting some of that Lobster Newberg!

Do you know, John? He is a great blogger. The Lobster Newberg looks very exotic to me.

Yes, I’ve seen John around! Once I looked at the Lobster Newbert recipe, I realized I was thinking of Lobster Thermador. In any event, I think lobster is best when it’s steamed and dipped in melted butter.

Roberta, water is running in my mouth and I’m a little bit jealous because I live too far away!

Hi Martina, I have only eaten lobster once in my life so Lobster Newberg is very exotic for me too. Part of the fun of these challenges is learning about food from other places.

Yes, of course, Roberta, and I thought that it would be very special to meet at Lobster Newberg in New York and eat Lobster together!:)

That would be really fantastic. I’ve never been to America.

lol, living closer to where John lives I do not think of Lobster Newberg as exotic! Often expensive, yes….

It sounds expensive. Lobster is expensive here … and hard to find. It is exotic for me. I’ve only ever eaten lobster once.

Lobster can be very expensive at restaurants, usually the priciest thing on the menu where it is served.

That is the case here too.

Hit “send” too soon. Buying fresh (read “living”) lobster at a fish market or even the neighborhood grocery story isn’t that expensive, though not cheap.

That’s good to know. Johannesburg is far away from the ocean …

It is. I developed the allergy as an adult, so I know what I’m missing too.
