Pashley Manor is a Grade 1 listed house in East Sussex, England. It is known for its wonderful English country garden and craft market. My mom and I visited it specifically to tour the 11 acres of beautiful gardens.

Eleven acres of gardens? A person could spend all day there! Very cool place, thanks for sharing.

Hi Dan, this was a beautiful place to visit and I’m glad I went with my mom. It was a girls only outing. Terence took the boys to Hastings. I hope your weekend is also a good one.

What fun! I envision this would be a 2-week vacay… One acre a day, and time in between to soak the feet. Seems to be well worth it!

HI Annette, I could always spend more time at all the places we visit. They are all so gorgeous in the summer time.

So much history held in gardens. I had to look up the history – fascinating. You find the best places to visit, Robbie. There is a connection to Anne Boleyn!! I love tagging along with you.

Hi Rebecca, I didn’t know about the Anne Boleyn connection. Thanks for that. This is one of the most lovely gardens I have ever visited. Very cultivated and English. Of course, the garden at Hever Castle is also amazing. Another Anne Boleyn haunt.

Perhaps you will now that everything is opening up again. We are hoping for an April 2022 visit to the UK, Janet.

I am embarrassed to say this is not a place I know of, particularly as it is in a corner of the country I know fairly well, and love. It looks fabulous – thanks for the excellent intro!

It is my pleasure, Mike. My cousin left me a pamphlet for this garden when we visited in the UK in 2018. We staying in her house while she was away. She knows my tastes and is a big garden fan.

Hi Liz, everything was beautiful about this house and garden. The part of the garden where the wood sculptures were was cool and overgrown, almost a little mysterious.

Robbie, I’m captivated. I’ve never applied the word “charming” to such a large house or garden, but this is. The statues and sculptures are both interesting and beautiful. Thanks for taking us along with you. Hugs on the wing!

Your visit reminded me of a place by us called Hershey Gardens. They have indoor and outdoor places as well as a butterfly house! I really like that tree sculpture in the living tree(?).

Robbie, this looks like a wonderful day out and it has so many various elements of the grounds to enjoy! Although I have friends in East Sussex they’ve never mentioned Pashley Manor Gardens … I’m heading down that way later this year and will try to visit here. Especially when there is a craft market on. Did you buy anything?

Haha, what a question, Annika, my mother is the world’s biggest shopper. I even bought her a cushion that said “if the shoe fits, but it in every colour.” We bought a lot of beautiful home made Christmas decorations, and a jumper for my mom, and other bits and pieces and a chicken jug for my aunt.
