Such an appealing story. I often attribute odd house sounds not to the house settling but to those who were there before me. Sounds like I am right!

Hi Jacqui, I am going on tour with this book soon and I’ve written a post about the original underlying ghost story that triggered this tale. It is very interesting.

I often wonder if the spirits of former owners of our house visit us.

My house, the original farm house in our area, is purported to be haunted, but I’ve never seen anything. I obviously am not sensitive enough to that sort of thing.

I saw ghosts as a child, but only once since adulthood.

There were four deaths three houses down from our house. When I walked by that house with a new owner, I wonder if my friends’ spirit came back to visit!

Oh, that is very sad, Miriam. Were they Covid deaths?

No, it was not Covid related. The dad died about eight years ago with some sudden illness but died of Pneumonia. A couple later, the cousin also had a sudden illness and died within weeks, almost without a will. The mom had ALS for a year and degenerated to just the eye movement and died quietly. Randy (my husband’s best friend) died of bicycle accident in 2016.
They left with no descendance. It was sad.

Oh, I remember reading about Randy. That was very sad. That house certainly has quite a history.
