Thursday Doors is a weekly feature allowing door lovers to come together to admire and share their favorite door photos from around the world. Feel free to join in on the fun by creating your own Thursday Doors post each week and then sharing your link in the comments below, anytime between Thursday morning and Saturday noon (North American eastern time).
These are some photographs of random doors I took during our time in Budapest last year September. The stone and mental work is amazingly ornate and beautiful.

Norm is on holiday for the next few weeks so he isn’t hosting this challenge.
OK, how about this: I was working on a #Thursdaydoors post last night but didn’t finish…and it was Budapest! My take a slightly different, focusing on the beauty behind the plainness of a door…with some good examples to share…next Thursday it is, I swear!

I love big strong thick doors. Impenetrable. No glass, nothing flimsy.

Impressive is right, Robbie. That had to have been a terrific vacation. I’ve never been there, or to Europe at all. Your photos conjure a mysterious place with hints of an old darkness. 🙂 Hugs on the wing.

I really like that, Teagan, Europe and the UK do hint at an old darkness.

Those are definitely a lot prettier than the bars on the 7/11 gas station doors

Budapest is not a very big city, H. If you go there for a few days, you get to see everything.

What gorgeous doors. They’re so unique. We don’t have doors like that in the US.

We don’t have doors like this in South Africa either, Diana. These are old European doors.

These doors are really statements itself, but- with an eyewink – they are not “too big to fail”. 😉 Most of these portals over the past are re-used very often. MIchael
