Val’s (Murisopsis’) prompt guidelines

- Form:Cameo;
- Heptastich (a poem in 7 lines);
- Syllabic: 2-5-8-3-8-7-2 syllables per line;
- Unrhymed, but end words should be strong.
- Theme: Love

My Love
Untamed
Gold and orange veld
Rolling in autumn coloured waves
Symbolic
Of Africa’s savage spirit
Therein lies its beating heart
My love

Lovely 🥰

Hi Liz, thank you. This is the good, our corrupt government is the bad but we have an election coming and I live in hope.

Your country seems to be in the same situation as mine with the hope of voting out a corrupt government this year.

I think you have more chance of success than we do. There is a lot of tribalism in South Africa and the tribal leaders dictate to their people as to how they should vote. The tribal leaders are implicit in the corruption.

I can see how that would gum up the works. We have a cult doing the bidding of a corrupt cult leader, but the cracks are starting to show.

Running across the information and visual literacy standards for higher education was a big eye-opener for me. The skills needed to be information literate in the digital age are very sophisticated. https://www.ala.org/acrl/standards/ilframework

I know, Robbie! We pay a lot of taxes, federal, state, and monthly services for many local services. Nothing is free here.

No, but at least you get something in return for the money.

Hi David, that is true to an extent. Of course, I am showing you the best of life in southern Africa. I am not showing you the poverty or the deterioration in the infrastructure due to government corruption and misappropriation of taxes.

Hi Barbara, I don’t mind autumn but I don’t like winter. This is a pretty time of year. Winter is brown and dry.

True – do you get snow in the winter where you live? I always enjoy a good snowstorm (if we’re all home and not on the roads).

HI Barbara, we had snow on one day last year and the country came to a standstill. Not because it was thick but because it is so unusual.
