Hi Martina, thank you, I was delighted by the review. We had a wonderful time at Madikwe and had three African Painted Dog sightings which are extremely rare. It was incredible. Happy New Year to you and yours.

They are a type of wild dog you find in Africa. They are highly endangered because they are very successful hunters and the farmers kill them when they go after their livestock. The reserve actually tags them because they are so rare.

HI Miriam, our break was amazing. 6 game drives is enough for me as it is about 8 hours in the park a day. It is tiring as the mornings are early and the evenings late, so 6 is the right number for me.
