Roberta Writes – Thursday Doors Badge #ThursdayDoors #watercolours

Happy New Year. I hope 2024 will be a good year for everyone.

Dan from No Facilities blog has requested entries for the Thursday Doors Badge for 2024. You can read more about it here: https://nofacilities.com/2023/12/14/christmas-by-candlelight/. While you are there, take a look at Dan’s fabulous Dreamer’s Alliance book series.

I am squeaking in with this post as tomorrow is the last day for entries.

Any how, better almost late than never. Here is my design, it uses one of my watercolour paintings and I just love the colours. I think it represents all seasons because we dream of summer all winter.

I’m still on a blogging break, but I will respond to comments when I get the chance.

    1. Hi Jacqui, we are leaving tomorrow morning early. I’m delighted you like the picture. I am getting better at watercolours and my latest pictures are a lot more detailed. I’m currently painting a lion which is quite complicated. I think watercolours is going to be my medium of choice because I like how the colours blend.

      1. Oh, how nice! The Mister and I love musicals. We haven’t been to one in a while, though. The last one we saw live was Love Never Dies which is a sequel to Phantom of the Opera. We’ve seen that one live, too, which was fantastic!

          1. Those are my top two also. I love Wicked as well which is coming out as a movie sometime this year. I’m so excited for it.

            I’m pleased about this, too.

I was trained from the cradle as were our children. lol To this day, our daughter gets U2 tickets because I listened to them as she grew up. The first time I took her to see them, she cried when they came on stage. LOL 🙂

I’ve never seen Chicago live, but it’s a goal. haha

          2. Hi Kymber, I have not seen Wicked but I have heard about it. Here in South Africa, theatre has been slow to return post Covid. That disease did a lot of damage to our economy and the arts are an area that took a lot of pain.
